Dr. David Bennett was born and raised in Mentor Ohio, an East Cleveland suburb. He did his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University where he graduated with honors. David moved to Clintonville to live and to study optometry and he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2004. He completed his ocular disease residency at the Columbus and Chillicothe VA Medical Centers and has been a staff optometrist at the Columbus VA Outpatient Clinic for 10+ years. There he is an Assistant Professor of Optometry for both The Ohio State Univeristy and The New England Colleges of Optometry where he works to train students and residents on disease management within the profession.

David enjoys the medical aspect of optometry like diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma, which allows him to team with patients to both manage and educate them on how they can keep their vision system healthy. He enjoys explaining the complex nature of eye disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in an easily understood manner. Dr. Bennett lives in Grove City with his wife and Eyes On High partner Dr. Melissa Bennett, their three sons Coen, Carmine, Cash and their energetic dog, Milo. David tries to find time to enjoy home-brewing Belgian Style Ales, skiing, golf, and finding a quiet moment to rest when his boys allows him too!
