Dr. D Bennett

Dr. David Bennett was born and raised in Mentor Ohio, an East Cleveland suburb. He did his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University where he graduated with honors. David moved to Clintonville to live and to studyoptometry and he graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2004. He competed his ocular disease residency at the Columbus and Chillicothe VA Medical Centers and has been a staff optometrist at the Columbus VA Outpatient Clinic for 10 years. There he is an assistant professor of optometry for both The Ohio State Univeristy and The New England Colleges of optometry where he works to train students and residents on the disease management within the profession.

David enjoys the medical aspect of optometry like diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and glaucoma, which allows him to team with patients to both manage and educate them on how they can keep their vision system healthy. He enjoys explaining the complex nature of eye disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in an easily understood manner. Dr. Bennett lives in Grove City with his wife and Eyes On High partner Dr. Melissa Bennett, their 2 year old son Coen, and their energetic dog Milo. David tries to find time to enjoy home-brewing Belgian Style Ales, skiing, golf, and finding a quiet moment to rest when his son allows him too!

Dr. K Kloman

Dr. Karen Kloman grew up in Grove City, Ohio, and currently resides in Clintonville. She graduated from Ohio University with a BS in Biological Sciences and minor in Psychology. She was then accepted to a competitive AmeriCorps program which focused on healthcare programs, screening, and access in the southeast Ohio Appalachia region. Dr. Kloman graduated from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2006, and competed her ocular disease residency at the Columbus and Chillicothe VA Medical Centers in 2007. She has worked in several settings, including the Columbus VA, private optometry practices, ophthalmologist group practice, clinical instruction at the OSU College of Optometry, and nursing/rehabilitation facilities. She is most excited about the opening of Eyes on High in the neighborhood she has loved and lived in since 2006.

Karen enjoys being active whenever possible. She loves traveling, reading, and doing yard work. You may see her on the Olentangy Bike Trail; jogging, walking her dogs, or on her bike training for Pelotonia. She has traveled on medical mission trips to Central America, South America, and Africa; with plans to do more in the future.

Dr. M Bennett

Dr. Melissa Bennett received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University in 2004 and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2008. She then completed her residency in Ocular Disease at the Columbus and Chillicothe VA Clinics in 2009, and has since worked for the Chillicothe VA Medical Center. There she has been a Clinical Professor of Optometry at Ohio State for the past 5 years and thoroughly enjoys teaching the students and residents that rotate through the VA. Dr. Bennett is very excited to have the opportunity to care for the wonderful people of Clintonville.

Dr. Bennett is a sports enthusiast, loving everything Bobcat and Buckeye, but also has a special place in her heart for Notre Dame football stemming from yearly family trips to South Bend. Outside of the exam room, Dr. Bennett enjoys spending time with her husband, David, their 1 year old son, Coen (AKA “the Tornado”), and their very energetic boxer, Milo. She enjoys long distance running, volleyball, golf, and snowboarding.

Eyes On High Support Team

Eyes on High is proud to have John Gill as the scheduling coordinator and will be your primary point of contact when calling the practice. John comes to us from the hills of Appalachia in southern Ohio where he called Rio Grande, Ohio home for 22 years. He graduated from the University of Rio Grande in 2010 with a BS in Public Administration. Considering Clintonville a home away from home, John appreciates the family atmosphere the community offers to friends and strangers alike. Feel free to stop by and ask John any questions you might have, you will not find many who are more approachable.

Lead Optician: Erin McNulty

Erin McNulty is a licensed optician with 21 years of experience. She moved to Columbus in 1995, having pursued various studies at various universities. She enjoys film, foreign languages, art, literature, and all the excellent music & craft beer festivals this fair city has to offer. She is thrilled to finally be serving the Clintonville Community; where she lives with her boyfriend and their fur children.

Lead Optician: Delcina Brown

Delcina Brown is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Communication in 2007. After graduation, Delcina was recruited by the CEO of an optical company and has been in optics ever since. She received her Optician License in 2011. She enjoys spending time with her husband George and their incrdicbly handsome cat, Henry. Delcina loves music, reading about history, and whole-heartedly believes there is nothing better than a great cateye frame! In her free time, she can be found in a Zumba class, a rock show, or DJ-ing house music at an event.
